What kind of equipment will we need?

We recommend a digital CD or MP3 player that is designed for this industry, but if you already have a music/message on hold player, that's okay, too. We'll be happy to produce your messages in whatever format you need. You are not required to rent or purchase equipment from us in order to enjoy our low prices!

How does the equipment work?

The Messages on Hold (MOH) player plugs into your telephone system, and when you push the "Hold" button on any of your telephones your callers will hear your customized messages. You can put as many callers on hold as your system permits.

How often do you change the messages?

We will change them at whatever frequency works best for you. Helping you determine that is part of our service. Contact us about pricing.

Do we have to write the script?

No. We can talk with you about the nature of your business and then you simply provide us with the raw information around which we create the scripts. You have other priorities in your business. Script writing is our priority. Final approval, of course, is yours.

Who chooses the voice and the music?

You certainly can. But if you prefer, just give us general parameters on the music type you would like — soft rock, lite jazz, classical, etc. — and we can save you the time of searching through endless tracks of music. You can request a general male or female voice talent or choose a particular voice from our audio samples page.

Do I need to be concerned about paying copyright fees for the music that is used?

No. Unlike music that you might choose to play from some other source and thereby be responsible for paying such fees, all the music copyright fees are included in our pricing.

How long have you been in business, and how large an area do you serve?

On Hold Productions, Inc., started business in December 1989 and we currently serve customers coast to coast.
